We see the pattern of the house church in Acts, but it was because a movement was beginning. Now, we need the house church for a different reason. We need it to bring close community to a large group of believers. Kinships will focus on giving our members fellowship and roots. They will focus on teaching, prayer, praise, the prophetic, healing ministries and fellowship. Kinships will primarily meet on Wednesday to promote Family gathering
Life Groups serve as our Bible and topical study groups. They will have a beginning and an end. They may be offered more than once to allow for more people to be a part of a particular study. There will be several offerings every trimester and they will be focused on various days each week. There is something for everyone.
Ministry Groups allow us to minister to people in our church that are going through tough times. There are many people today who are struggling with addiction, bad marriages and other life destroyers. Ministry Groups are very small and will be handled delicately by each leader. Kinships use Ministry Groups as a tool to help people in their groups work through life issues. Ministry Groups will vary in length and depth.
Everyone has a need for down time and fun. We promote Christian community thru natural interest. The idea is to bring people together who have an affinity for a specific activity and allow them to honor the Lord in doing it. This is an awesome opportunity for outreach. Invite a friend to an affinity group and it will be a great opportunity for them to connect to our church!
