New to BCF Page

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about our church. We are a non-denominational church founded in 1962 in the middle of Ohio Amish country. We were founded in an environment of spiritual awakening as many former Amish and Mennonite from our community came together with a hunger to live the truth of scripture. The Holy Spirit was poured out in the midst of a message of values and principles that make life work. We believe Christianity is the way of life! From our first days until now God has been developing in us a message of his kingdom that is transforming the world. We continue to passionately pursue Jesus and his purposes in the earth.

Entering the Building:

As you pull into our parking lot off of 201 you are facing the west side of our building which is the location of our office entrance. Under the overhang on the south face is our main entrance through the double glass doors. This entrance will lead you directly to our foyer and sanctuary. To the rear of the building (east) you will find the gym entrance doors. You are welcome to enter any of these locations. From either the office entrance or gym entrance simply follow the hallway and you will find the foyer where we gather before services. In the foyer you will find greeters and an information table where you can pick up a bulletin and find any information you need to know, from bathroom locations to children's programs.

Sunday School:

From 9:00 - 9:45 we have Sunday school classes located in several areas throughout the church depending on our current curriculum. Please check at the information table in the foyer for assistance. We will help get you plugged in!

Child Care and Children's Church:

We have child care and children's programs for kids from nursery age to 6th grade on sunday mornings. During the sunday school hour the kids have their own classes divided by age groups. The nursery and toddler rooms remain open for the beginning of main service starting at 10:00 in the sanctuary. The rest of the children join us for worship until just before the message (around 10:45) when we dismiss the children for kids church. If you need help finding where to check in your children we can assist you at the information table in the foyer.

Main Service:

Worship:

We begin every Sunday with praise & worship beginning at 10:00 in the sanctuary. This generally lasts 30 - 40min. You can expect to find expressive worship and something a little different each sunday as we seek the leadership of the Holy Spirit. It is normal for us to clap our hands, to dance, for our children to dance with fabrics, to sing and raise our hands to the Lord. Occasionally we have a time of ministry and prayer, or someone from our prayer or prophetic teams might have something to share with the congregation. The worship team is comprised of acoustic guitar, keyboard, drums, bass guitar, percussion and singers. We play a wide variety of music from hymns and older choruses to today's songs as well as songs written within our congregation. It's our desire to simply provide an environment where God and people can meet.

Welcome, Announcements & Offering:

We take a few moments each Sunday to welcome our visitors. We invite you to raise your hand when called for so an usher can give you a welcome packet. In the packet you can learn a little more about our church as well as fill out a visitors card which gives us a record of your visit. We like to bless people so please let us know if you have any prayer needs and bring your visitors card to the information table in the foyer after service so we can give you a big bar of chocolate! After welcoming our visitors we share any important announcements, pray for current needs, and then receive tithes and offerings. This is simply done by the ushers passing buckets down each row of seats, during which time there will be some sort of special presentation.

Dismissing Children & Message:

Pastor James will release our parents to bring their children to their classes and for people to greet each other. Then it's time for the message! It's always exciting to get into the scripture and discover what the Lord has for us each week. You will find a sermon outline and space for taking notes in your bulletin. You can also follow along with the message notes on the screen. We close every service with prayer and often have times where we invite people to come to the front for prayer and ministry.
